Local Dining Favorites

​Cedarville and Alturas are home to a variety of restaurants sure to please any food hankering you have.  From the Country Hearth to Woody's in Cedarville to the Auction Yard Cafe in Alturas, you will find plenty of delicious food as you explore the area.  If you are looking for that special flavored coffee, check out the Niles Coffee Company (serving Starbucks coffee) and Java Doc in Alturas. Country Hearth

Jan's cute little restaurant (located at 551 Main Street) serves up some delicious meals every day--especially the gigantic slab of prime rib along with salad, bread, potato,  and dessert on Friday and Saturday evenings.Jan is also a master baker and serves delicious homemade donuts, maple bars and other pastries baked fresh daily. Be sure to come with an appetite!

Alturas

Antonio's Cucina Italiana

Antonio's is a local favorite for some of the best pizza and Italian food you will find anywhere.  Check out their Tim's pizza, named after a local resident, and their blue cheese dressing--it's amazing!  

Woody's Saloon and Restaurant

Woody's is located at 415 Main Street in Cedarville. They offer a variety of good old fashioned hamburgers, sandwiches, salads, and appetizers.  They have daily meal specials and even offer a kid's menu with chicken strips and hot dogs! If you are hungry for some chili cheese fries, a pulled pork sandwich, or a veggie burger, Woody's is the place to go in Cedarville. The restaurant hours are Tuesday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.  

The Brass Rail

If you are a fan of traditional Basque food, the Brass Rail is the place to go. Known for their delicious steak, you are sure to enjoy your meal here. 

Historic Niles Hotel

You won't want to miss having a meal or taking a tour around the beautiful Historic Niles Hotel in Alturas.  They serve breakfast and lunch daily in the Niles Coffee Company and are open for dinner on the weekends. Be careful...there's a rumor the upstairs is haunted! The Modoc Auction Yard Cafe

The One Thai Oishi

If you like Thai and Japanese food, this restaurant in Alturas at 1001 N. Main Street is worth trying. Their cuisine is authentic and delicious.  The One Thai Oishi   

Hoang Chinese Restaurant

This restaurant has a large, varied menu including traditional favorites like Kung Pao Chicken and Beef & Broccoli.  Their Mandarin Chicken is delicious and the service is fast.  Dining in and take-out are available.  Located at 204 W. 12th Street in a small shopping mall.  Hoang Chinese Restaurant
