Grade Stabilization Project 2022
Fencing Projects 2015 and 2016
We have completed several fencing projects in the last few years. Our wildlife friendly fencing provides protection for wildlife through the low smooth wire, and the fence markers are installed to ensure fence visibility to sage grouse. Our fencing projects will also provide for grazing management for years to come.

Grade Control Structure Project
October 2012
This watershed area improvement project is located on our upper pasture. The project reduced erosion from springs, rain, cattle, and snowmelt.
|
The project improved terrestrial habitat and flood irrigation of the meadows. Sage grouse, other bird species, wildlife and pasture for cattle grazing was also improved. You are looking east.
|
As you will notice, the deep erosion channel has now been filled in with compacted fill recovered from below the project. The next step was to install sheet pilings to regulate the water and/or snowmelt levels to reduce future erosion.

The pilings are in place, final grading and seeding are in progress and the project is nearing completion. A spring box is also installed with a watering trough for cattle. This is looking west.
Here is the Grade Control Structure project from the spring of 2015. You are looking west. It is difficult to see the pilings now with all of the vegetation. |
